Community Guidelines

Welcome to MAM Planning and Design’s page and blog, a thoughtful space for weddings, hospitality, culture and celebration

Our standard: Comment as though you were speaking to someone across a beautifully set table: be thoughtful, gracious and respectful, even when you disagree.

Welcome to the MAMPD community

MAM Planning & Design welcomes meaningful conversation about weddings, events, design, hospitality, travel and the many cultures and traditions that make celebrations personal. Different perspectives are welcome. Disrespect is not. By commenting, you agree to help us keep this space useful, inclusive and aligned with the care we bring to every MAMPD experience.

How to participate

Contribute to the conversation. Keep comments relevant to the post and add a question, perspective or experience that may be useful to others.

Debate ideas, not people. You may disagree, but personal attacks, insults, intimidation, dogpiling and deliberately inflammatory remarks are not welcome.

Honor every culture and celebration. Racism, colorism, xenophobia, religious intolerance, casteism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or other hateful or demeaning language will be removed.

Respect privacy. Do not share private correspondence, contact information, addresses, schedules, financial details or identifying information about couples, families, guests, vendors, team members or minors without clear permission.

Speak from your own experience. Do not post rumors, impersonate others, misrepresent facts or make unsupported accusations about a person or business. Concerns involving an active client or vendor matter should be sent privately, not litigated in the comments.

Keep it polished. Profanity directed at another person, sexually explicit content, threats, harassment and graphic or disturbing material are prohibited.

Share responsibly. Post only content you have the right to share. Credit photographers, creatives and other sources where appropriate, and do not copy substantial portions of someone else’s work.

Skip the sales pitch. Relevant recommendations are welcome when genuinely helpful and transparently disclosed. Spam, repetitive links, affiliate drops, solicitation and undisclosed self-promotion may be removed.

Be human. Automated, copied, deceptive or low-effort AI-generated comments may be removed, especially when they do not meaningfully engage with the post.

Moderation

Comments may be reviewed before or after publication. MAMPD may edit for formatting, close a discussion, or remove any comment that violates these guidelines, creates a safety or privacy concern, or disrupts the community. Repeated or serious violations may result in blocked participation. Moderation decisions are made at MAMPD’s discretion, and the presence of a comment does not mean MAMPD endorses it.

A few helpful answers

Why is my comment pending?

It may be awaiting review or may have been flagged automatically because it includes links, sensitive terms or other spam signals. Please do not repost it repeatedly.

Why was my comment removed?

It may have been off topic, duplicative, promotional, unsafe, disrespectful, legally concerning or inconsistent with these guidelines. Removal is not an invitation to repost the same content in different wording.

Why are comments closed?

MAMPD may close comments when a discussion is no longer productive, requires significant moderation, involves a sensitive matter or has reached its natural conclusion.

How do I raise a concern?

Use the contact method listed on the MAMPD website and include the blog post title, the commenter’s display name and a brief explanation. Do not repost harmful content in full. Client service concerns, vendor disputes and private event matters should always be handled directly and confidentially.

Please remember

Public comments are visible to others. Do not post anything you would not want publicly associated with you. Comments are for community discussion and do not constitute professional, legal, financial or contractual advice. These guidelines may be updated as the community evolves; continued participation means you accept the current version.
